Fashion and friendship

On 7th November, neighbours came together for an evening of vintage clothes and crafting at Manchester Cares’ first ever clothes party.

Held at the the Old Bank Residency, neighbours brought their much loved but rarely loved goodies and swapped them for other people’s treasures.

Alongside bagging a new wardrobe, neighbours also learnt to sew with Alice and knit with Francisca.

The whole evening raised £191 for Manchester Cares, which could help fund a weekend of social clubs across the city centre.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their skills and generously donated to the night, and big thanks to the Old Bank Residency for having us.

We will be hosting another event in the spring but if you can’t wait, why not do your own clothes party in the meantime? Check out this 'How to' guide for more info and email Emily to get started!
