Since March, Tony has been curating playlists for the Manchester Cares' Community. 

The selection this week features a range of songs released from 1959-2019, all about the month of October.

Serge Gainsbourg – La Nuit d’Octobre

Serge Gainsbourg was a French singer, songwriter, pianist, film composer, poet, painter, screenwriter, writer, actor and director. “La Nuit d’Octobre” is from his second studio album, released in 1959.


Nitin Sawhney – October Daze

“October Daze” is a really soothing piece of chillout with slick beats and strings featuring Tina Grace.

Alessia Cara – October

“October” is a mid-tempo jam with relaxing guitars and delicate melodies whispered into the microphone. 


Waaberi Band – Oktoobar Waatee? Waa Taayadii (What’s October? It’s Ours)

From the album “Sweet as Broken Dates: Lost Somali Tapes from the Horn of Africa” is the track “Oktoobar Waatee? Waa Taayadii”. The song was composed by Said Mohamed Harawo.
