Here at Manchester Cares, we’re proud of our city. It’s the spirit, the history, the dynamism – and ultimately the people – that make this place so special. We’re also proud of our family – the wider Cares Family that Manchester Cares is part of that’s bringing older and younger neighbours together in other fast-changing cities around the country too.

So today, we wanted to share our new animated film which celebrates you – the people who are part of this family; who over the past 20 months have built Manchester Cares with your commitment; who refuse to accept that loneliness and division across the generations should occur even has our great city changes around us; who are doing this the Mancunian Way.

The new animation spotlights some of the landmarks of our city – the Town Hall, Beetham Tower, the music and sport that make Manchester known the world over – and it spotlights some of the work you can get involved in: the dance and Desert Island Discs social clubs, the one-to-one Love Your Neighbour friendships that help bring some of the outside world in for people who can struggle to get out, and all the exciting opportunities to help us to raise funds.
