"The best afternoon out I've had in many, many years."

A dash of friendship, a twist of fun and loads of laughter makes the perfect community cocktail – at least that's what our neighbours discovered when Pernod Ricard UK hosted a Social Club for Manchester Cares. 

The drinks company invited Rod, Elizabeth and the gang to their bespoke event space The Loft for an afternoon of mixing mojitos and creating cosmopolitans. 

Neighbours enjoyed three cocktail making workshops led by professional bartenders. And at each station, neighbours shared conversation and stories with Pernod Ricard UK employees from across the city. 

Albert Schloss provided a brilliant buffet to compliment the delicious drinks, and the afternoon was rounded off with a short quiz about all things Manchester. 

Laughter echoed around The Loft all afternoon. Paul commented "I've never been anywhere like this. It's amazing."

And as neighbours exchanged a hearty goodbye with the Pernod Ricard UK team, Rod told us "It was the best afternoon out I've had in many, many years. I wouldn't have changed a thing."
