The One After The Friends Quiz

A big thank you to everyone who came to Leaf for our Friends fundraising quiz on Wednesday 27th February. From tasting Rachel’s 'Shepherds Trifle' to a 70-strong chorus of ‘Smelly Cat’ everyone had a great time and helped to support local communities across Manchester. 

After three rounds of questions and three exciting bonus rounds (would you have been able to spell Mboscodictiasaur?) ‘Ross’ Divorce Force’ emerged victorious, after turning in a perfect score! They also took home the coveted ‘Gellar Cup’.

And by the end of the night, an amazing £661.00 had been raised to help support Social Clubs and Love Your Neighbour.

This would not have been possible without the generous support of Pretty Little Thing, Iberica, The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester Museum, The Frog and Bucket and Arokaya Thai Massage, who generously donated to the raffle.

And of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of everyone who came on the night and donated to Manchester Cares.

Everything raised at the quiz will help to support our programmes and tackle loneliness in younger and older neighbours alike. You’ve helped to make our spring Social Clubs possible; clubs like our monthly cooking club in Hulme. Thanks to you, neighbours like Tony and Vicky will enjoy regular company, conversation and companionship.
