Below are some of the ways you – or maybe someone you know – could support Manchester Cares to support, grow and improve our programmes, so that we can connect even more people to the brilliant people and places of Manchester. If you can help, we’d love to hear from you on  [email protected].

  • Volunteers for daytime events – corporate teams volunteering together are very welcome;
  • Volunteers for lunchtime Love Your Neighbour visits;
  • Organisations who will host a group of older neighbours for the afternoon – to look around, meet the team, and find out about your work;
  • Organisations who will print leaflets/ social club programmes for us in kind – helping us to get the word out to people and encouraging them to get involved;
  • Donations for Christmas hampers for isolated older people;
  • Donations of warm items (hats/gloves/thermal socks/blankets/scarves);
  • Taxi companies who could give discounted taxi rates, to get our older neighbours out and about;
  • Photographers/filmographers who could photograph events in-kind;
  • Graphic designers who could provide skills in kind – for leaflets and programmes;
  • In-kind raffle prizes;
  • Cinemas who could provide in-kind tickets for our older neighbours;
  • Donations for at-home entertainment, bringing the outside in for our Love Your Neighbour matches, e.g. pop-up dining, board games, craft materials;
  • Individuals with a specific expertise who could run a club (i.e. photographers, graphic designers, dance teachers);
  • Free (or reduced rent) private office space. In-kind venue space for our volunteer inductions and fundraising events;
  • In-kind social media/marketing training
  • Salesforce training.
